Course Description:
This course provides valuable ideas and strategies to enhance customer service delivery, benefiting individual staff members, management, and the organization as a whole. Upon completion, learners will be equipped to better empathize with customers, improve staff retention and satisfaction, develop effective self-care strategies for staff, handle upset customers with confidence, conduct interviews with people with disabilities, and create a positive overall customer service environment. Duration: 4 Hours.

Audience:
New employees, PHA occupancy staff, supervisors, directors, and all employees who interact with applicants and participants in the Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs.

- Improve the quality of customer service at the point of contact in the Housing Choice Voucher and Public Housing Programs
- Identify agency and community barriers to customer service and develop strategies to remove them
- Assess the PHA’s service delivery policy for strengths and vulnerabilities
- Create an action plan for your customer service policy
- Apply concepts to improve the quality of service delivery and job satisfaction
- Improve community relationships to further advance the PHA’s housing goals in the context of the PHA plan
